NP Series Cable Carriers

The Nylatrac® NP series is a medium size standard link plastic carrier. NP features hinge-open crossbars that can open on either the inner or outer radius. The user-friendly design is excellent for machine tool, industrial, and long travel applications. Universal type brackets are available upon request.

  • Inside Width: 2″ to 6″ (51 to 152 mm)
  • Inside Height: 1.54″ (39 mm)
  • Curve Heights: 7″ to 18″ (178 to 457 mm)

Weight Load Chart

  • Find the weight you want to put in the cable carrier on the left side of the chart (additional load).
  • Then follow that row across until you get to the maximum unsupported length line.
  • Unsupported length (a.k.a. unsupported span) is the maximum distance possible between the moving end mounting bracket and the topmost link of the curve.
  • For a standard cable carrier mounted with the fixed end at center of travel, this length is 1/2 the system travel + 1 link pitch.
  • This length can be greater or shorter if the fixed end is offset mounted from the center of travel.
  • Using the load chart below, for example: an additional load of 5 lbs./ft (2,3 kg.) can have a maximum unsupported span of ~8.5 ft. (2591 mm)
